Podcast Update January 29th

Finally working on getting back on track with That Android Podcast. Working to rotate it with Digital Doctor Who Podcast (monthly) and one more cast on Fridays. Another new episode is coming soon, stay tuned.

4shared Podcast upload notice

Due to PC problems I am presently only uploading New content to 4shared. Once the problems are fixed I will be uploading once again to mediafire and posting links to the blogs asap.

All new weekend is upon us, and once again that means New podcasts.

That Android Podcast Episode 2 - 33%
Saturday an all new That Android Podcast is coming, and since I'm moving Equestria This Week to Fridays th a t means That Android Podcast will be running weekly for awhile.

All new gaming podcast now available

Since I have been reviewing from the Android format for awhile now I finally released a new cast covering Android apps and games. In this episode we look at The Simpsons Tapped Out, Jurassic Park Builder, Order Up To Go, Batman Arkham City Lockdown, the Comixology app and more.

Coming soon is a revival of 3DS coverage with 3DS Lives... and we start that off with coverage of the... urgh... 2DS.... because apparently the people on the Square Enix forum boards were right all along, and Nintendo really was planning on going backwards with a non 3D handheld... wow. Painful memory. Stay tuned for that in the future as well as new episodes of That Android Podcast.

Waiting To Recharge 5/12

Soo... gimmick, gimmick, who got the gimmick? Guess I do.

In this case the recharge we are waiting for is virtual in nature as Game On becomes the blog for Antisocial Gamer. Subsequently we will talk about tablet gaming, and later Facebook games as well once that laptop comes in.

I will start off by covering games I rejected, and why I don't recommend these titles to you. After that games I am playing right now like...

Bakery/Restaurant Story

Not much of a Cafe Worldesque SIM but it's a freebie and OK... if you remember a fee things about the game that limits its full potential.

Kingdom and Lords

Damn underwhelming Age of Empires lite social game... but I needed a review item that was not Spielberg or ponies so... here you go.

Jurassic Park Builder

My first thought was that line from Jeff Goldblum from the first Jurassic Park about marketing and selling without any real thought put into it... there, I said something about you that didn't involve me kicking you Goldblum! Happy?!?

Tavern Quest

A surprisingly good mix of Cafe World SIM and low key RPG. Good work, Glu!

My Little Pony

Yes, pony city building SIM. A game that requires lots of patience in order to keep from spending money on rechargeable and premium currency gems. Too bad Hasbro marketed this to kids with zero patience. Fun... in small manageable doses... hide your credit card!

Getting back on track

Well lots to do if I am going to get back on track, sorry things were so slow for so long.

Podcasting wise I am presently halted while I trade for a used laptop to help get that back on track again full speed ahead. Hope to get that resolved soon. Casts coming soon for this blog? 3DS Addict, Antisocial Gamer and Pocket Gamer. Working on upgrading to the PSVita, stay tuned.

Podcast Update December 30th 2012

Finally cranking back on gaming casts slowly but surely.

Retro Gamer brings back reviewing old school games from the SEGA Genesis as well as from the Nintendo (SNES, Nintendo 64 and Game Cube... and eventually the Wii once the Wii U totally arrives as a new cast in the Summer of 2013.

Working now on a Nintendo cast featuring the Wii and 3DS in Nintendo Life coming soon, as well as Episode 2 of Retro Gamer (first SNES cast).

Rebooting 3DS Life

Due to a stupid mistake on my part the whole of 3DS Life got erased... stupid. Anyway since I have to redo it anyway I am taking the time to relaunch it fresh with abit of new, archive and revisited content. I should be done with Episode 1 soon, stay tuned for updates.

School is back in again, so its Fall for me which means getting back on track again.

Knock on wood I hope to have updates on Tuesdays (gaming casts) and Thursdays (Nintendo) though at the moment I am working on 3DS Life, The Game Boy Show and Wii Life. Should be adding onto Tuesdays releases in the coming weeks.

This Playstation Life in development

The problem with presently upgrading to the PSVita? The cost, and the lacking budget to meet said cost, what with the usual suspects limiting that and all... but in This Playstation Life I'll tell you why, even if you are going PSVita, you should hold onto and continue to use your first gen (PSP-1000 to PSP-3000) PSP.

- UMDs. They got axed as of the PSP Go.

- The ability to convert and watch videos and movies from the internet using PSPVC.

- Might still be able to play homebrewed games (a dirty word of late in the big three)

Lately Sony has been following the trend, and turning their backs on stuff that benefitted the user... the first gen PSP is the last holdout before the purge began. So, if you can, hold onto it... if you must, buy it again used from amazon and the like.

First episode splits the chores of gaming and multimedia between the two, PSP and PSP Go, and compares the two and which one is best suited for what.

I just need a PSP Go and then I'll start scripting... coming soon, stay tuned.
