First Gaming Casts of 2011

Due to computer problems (ongoing) I have less and less time per day to work on podcasts, so it has been rather slow going of late for new casts. I am, however, working to get back on track with new casts. Here's the schedule so far for the new casts of 2011 in January.

DS Lite Life Max Week 3
A look at the 10 series I am looking to review in 2011. Professor Layton, Legend of Zelda (as we count down to the newest and first original Wii only release Zelda game coming in 2011), Fast Food Panic, my LEGO wishlist for 2011 (even if I am disappointed of late with LEGO on DS), Poke'mon and more made my list and I'll tell  you why and my efforts to review them all in 2011.

Retro Game Boy Life Max Week 2
Short games with simple concepts like Alleyway & Game and Watch 3, tie in games like Star Trek TNG and the first ever YuGiOh game as well as ports like Shadowgate Classic are reviewed in this mini muncher. And we'll see about going out and picking up the first GBA retro review of 2011 as well.

Retro Gaming Week 1
A new title covering what retro consoles I am presently reviewing off of. Abit limited at present but I crack into my N64 and SEGA Genesis for reviews this cast out and look at some other consoles I'm looking into trading for in 2011.

PSP Life Mini Max Week 5
Downloads from last year are reviewed as I look at the PS1 and Suikoden and the original Final Fantasy Tactics, demos like the newest Monster Hunters cloner from SquareEnix (with sword and sorcery instead of dinosaurs and dragons) and Phantasy Star Portable 2, as well as (yes) a review of Monster Hunters Freedom Unite (the last Monster Hunters on the PSP to date) and more.

Wii Life Max Week 2
I look at my favorite games of the past as I prepare to forge ahead and hopefully begin reviewing anew (even if I have to get a used Wii in order to begin reviewing again).

That's all coming soon, stay tuned!

Abit late but we're wrapping up Harry Potter Weeks with our first look at Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 on the consoles and handhelds... except no PSP version for some reason! Oh well.

We also take our first look at Michael Jackson The Experience The Video Game, Valkryia Chronicles II and Split/Second!

Casts for the Rest of November

We have one more cast to wrap up the launch of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (PSP Life) but what else is coming out?

Thanksgiving Weekend - Still planning this but I am planning at least a new Facebook Gamer to cover the newest stuff I'm reviewing like CSI : Crime City and Warstorm. Oh, and a food themed DS Lite Life pitting the cooking game franchises against each other on the day known for eating and giving thanks. And finally it's Silent Hill Special covering the series from the original PS1 version (now on PlayStation Network for PSP ad PS3) to the fail that was Silent Hill : Shattered Memories and what's next (off to Europe and it's new Czech game maker).

December should be a month for PSP owners (review of God of War Ghost of Sparta), and nostalgic look back  at the best games I reviewed (and what's worth snapping off the bargain bin, means a new go around all about with Game On Max, DS Lite Life, PSP Life and Retro Game Boy Life to wrap up the year as well as a retro horror game cast Christmas weekend.

PSP Life MIni Max Week 3 now up, Week 4 coming... tomorrow.

Since Harry Potter weeks was going on for so long I split the cast into two. Today it's PSP Life Mini Max Week 3, covering reviews of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as well as Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (and a bonus review).

Next cast, Week 4, covers LEGO Harry Potter Years 1 to 4, as well as pre reviews of Michael Jackson the Experience Video Game as well as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 on consoles and DS but apparently not on PSP.

Now we're finally going to get our cast out on iTunes (two casts actually) starting this week as we begin posting up casts over at podbean.com! This Coming Week (July 9th to 11th)

There's only going to be one gaming cast this coming week with the two new casts coming out relating to DVDs and ecomics and stuff, but it should be a nice one all in all with us reviewing a few new Facebook games (Fashion World, Verdonia) and Apollo Justice for the DS (the warm up for our Phoenix Wright comparision between the DS and Wii).

Stay tuned for updates as I begin working on the casts.

Gaming Max Week 7 Now Available

There. The whole week is now complete! Now I have to get to work on next week... sigh... get all caught up hopefully this week and get a few weeks casts ready early. Anyway it's Mario week in Gaming Max and we're reviewing Mario Party, Mario Kart for the Wii and, yes, Super Mario Galaxy.

Next time with Gaming Max it'll be the warm up to our comparison of Phoenix Wright on the DS (stylus) versus on the Wii (Wiimote), but that's next time. Anyway putting up the link now so enjoy!

Game On Max Week 1 Premieres

Sure it's abit backwards but we're still getting Gaming Max Week 7 out.

Now to get Gaming Max Week 7 out and then give you the 4-1-1 on next week's cast (1 of 3 casts goes here... so what of the other two? Guess that means one more blog for two new premieres).

TODAY'S UPDATE : Work begins on Gaming Max Week 7

It's the last of the upcoming casts to be done, and I'm plowing right into it working all out. Hope to have it done by tomorrow if I work hard at it, taking time of course to look for work and get my writing off the ground again and so forth. We'll see. Update on Gaming Max Week 7's progress tomorrow, stay tuned!

A Career in Game Testing?

That's what I'm presently setting my resumes out to, looking for a career in game testing. I won't abandon the podcasting of course, we'll still have three casts a day... maybe less if I get busy beta testing games... but we'll still have casts! That I assure you!

I just need some work to do that brings in money that's all, so doing a job where I help beta test new upcoming games might be that job. We'll see. In the meantime I'm going to keep on working on Podcasts. Speaking of which...

Final Fantasy Review Schedule for Game On Max

Here's the schedule so far, no cast selected yet but here's what we're reviewing...

Cast 1
Final Fantasy I-II : Dawn of Souls for GBA
Final Fantasy III for DS
Final Fantasy IV for GBA
Final Fantasy IV : After Years for Wii

Cast 2
Final Fantasy VII : Crisis Core for PSP
Final Fantasy VII for PSOne/PSP/PS3
Final Fantasy VII Movie PSP/DVD
Final Fantasy VII : Dirge of Cebereus for PS2

Cast 3
Final Fantasy X-2 for PS2
Final Fantasy XII for PS2
Final Fantasy XIII for XBox360(?)

(?) - I hear it'll be for XBox360. Have to see if I can get one for XBox360.

Today's Update : To PSP or Wii?

Well we review both but I was more considering which to pursue with a dollar slash point card next time, the PSP or Wii? Maybe I'll make it a thing to vote on next week. How does that work out?

If it's the PSP then I'll pursue mini games and PSOne classics for review, get the most I can out of the card (and it'll get used to prepare for my second Final Fantasy week review in preperation for reviewing Final Fantasy XIII.

If it's the Wii then I usually split the card and use my half for review. This time out I'll use it for my first Final Fantasy week review in preperation for reviewing Final Fantasy XIII.

So really either way it'll go into preparing to review Final Fantasy XIII.
I need to pull some Final Fantasy images for putting up. That's something I'll do today for certain. Stay tuned.
